Los medios y la salud is a resource on media literacy skills that examines tobacco, alcohol, and food marketing. It includes a discussion and activities on media literacy concepts and messages on marketing, health, and culture. Choose the presentation format for a ready-made lesson or browse the media gallery to view individual media examples.

This new DVD-ROM replaces the CD-ROM Los medios y la salud.

 

CONTENTS

This DVD-ROM contains 32 selected media examples that are accessed through a menu system. The media examples include documentary clips, TV commercials, and still images. Depending on discussion, this presentation could run an hour to an hour and a half.

The disc also includes a printable discussion guide you can use to lead a conversation about the media examples on the disc. The discussion guide corresponds with the order of the media examples in the presentation. It includes questions, answers, and suggestions for the presentation, as well as activities, education standards, and resources.
